Job Responsibilities:
Design and oversee mine development plans and production schedules
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and compliance
Optimize extraction procedures to maximize ore recovery and minimize waste
Collaborate with geology, processing, and logistics teams to streamline operations
Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and feasibility studies
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
Professional registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) preferred
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in open‑pit or underground gold mining
Proven track record of managing mining operations and meeting production targets
Hands‑on experience with mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine)
Additional Requirements:
Valid Class C driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote mine sites
Strong leadership, communication, and team‑management skills
Certification in Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) management
ZMW 10,000 – 20,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
